People Helping People.

How is Spruce making an impact on title and closing services?

We are taking a traditionally complex and convoluted process and making it as streamlined and uniformed as possible - all on a national scale.

How does your role directly impact the customer experience?

As a CSM, my job is to be the voice of the client and a strong  advocate for their needs. Therefore every action I take is designed with the end goal of helping our clients and the customers they serve.

What Spruce value resonates with you the most?

Work smarter, not harder.  At Spruce, we strive to create a simple, efficient, and scalable process for modern day closings. We design our business model for large-scale investors, lenders, and proptech companies so they can all have sustained success. In order to provide this to our clients, it’s important we take care of ourselves, too–taking time away from my desk to enjoy hobbies and relax outside of work is just as important to long term success professionally.

How has your career grown since starting at Spruce?

My previous employer was a team of more than 100K employees, and it was sometimes hard to gauge how my work directly impacted the company. Here at Spruce, I can tangibly see how my actions have an impact on not only our clients, but everyone else at the organization - top to bottom and cross functionally. And I find that incredibly motivating.

What is your favorite thing about working at Spruce?

As a big fan of pretty much all team sports, my favorite expression is that "you play for the name on the front of your jersey not the name on the back" - at Spruce we embody this message, as everyone here thinks and works as a collective unit to achieve our team goals, as opposed to simply being a collection of individuals moving in separate directions.

How do you feel connected while working remotely with teammates?

Spruce is a place where everyone can act and be their true self when at work. By showing your natural personality, likes, and dislikes, it creates natural banter to learn more about people's lives and families so that you can take an active interest in both knowing, and genuinely caring about the people you work with.

What motivates you?

My biggest motivation is the feeling you get when you achieve success in something team oriented - individual success is one thing, but to be a part of something bigger and to see it come to fruition is unmatched.

Who are some of your biggest inspirations within Spruce?

As a company that has a hybrid work environment, my biggest inspirations are all the parents I work with who tirelessly dedicate so much time and effort to helping our team grow and succeed while also juggling their at-home duties to their family.

What is one thing that you want our customers to know about Spruce?

Spruce is revolutionizing an industry that needs to get modernized. We want to be as tech focused and futuristic as possible, while also providing clients with the personal touch that makes them feel as if they are our only customer.
